4th of July Celebration....

I totally forgot to post pictures from our 4th of July celebration. Sierra Blanca had a nice parade followed by events in the park. I even got a booth so I could sell some of my jewelry. I didn't do too bad but had to close up early because of the rain. The night before people came out to the park to start setting up and pick their space. Some even spent the night. The following morning the parade started things off...

Los Pecadores played until 1 in the morning

A Helping Hand

It has been another busy week. It has been filled with hard work and a lot of fun. The weather here has been amazing the past few days with a bit of rain in between.
I made arrangements with Arvin West to put on "Movies in the Park" every Saturday this summer. Last weekend we played Stuart Little followed by Monster-in-Law. Everyone really enjoyed it and the 4H sold hotdogs and other snacks, helping them to raise funds for their ongoing projects with the kids. I was very tired though and could barely stay away for the last movie. I had been working all day washing cars and doing a bake sale that I had arranged to raise funds for Northern Hudspeth County EMS which is in need of a new building. I got sunburned which also made me sleepy. I had just enough time between the fundraiser and the movies to go eat a quick meal. We did end up raising over $665 which is pretty good considering we only had a few children to help wash cars. We will do it again on the 27th of this month.

This weekend we are playing Spirit and McClintock for movie night. Trying to keep something for the kids and something for adults. We will have to skip the following weekend because a couple will be getting married in the park. Congratulations to the happy couple! The weekend after we will continue our movies with The Bee Movie followed by Beetlejuice. I think that it is nice to sit in a park with the wind blowing gently, looking up to see the stars, and watch a movie sitting on the side of a hill.
This week has also been busy for the bow company. Stephen hasn't had as much time in the shop as he would like but he has received several more orders and we are finalizing our decision to go to the ATA show in January. We have calculated everything but the only details left to work out is who will care for our dogs. We have started ordering give aways for the show. So far we have T-shirts and bumper stickers. We are also ordering dog tags and bracelets so if you will be at the ATA show come by our booth and grab some freebies. Or if you would like a bumper sticker you can come by our facebook page and request one. I will get it in the mail asap.
My daughter and her husband have decided to move here so I am very excited about that. I haven't seen them for almost 2 years. He will be working with EMS and we really need more people so that is great. My daughter wants to go into law enforcement. I believe she will like it here.
We have had quite a bit of rain in fact, it is raining now. Even though it floods at times, it makes everything beautiful. There has been so many rainbows here; many more than I have ever seen. The clouds also hang low in the mountains when it is nice and cool outside. Wouldn't trade these times for anything else. Loving the monsoon season.

E.A. Archery is celebrating 3 years....

E.A Archery is celebrating 3 years in business all this week. This has been a crazy ride and we have loved every minute of it. The first years have been spent in production and testing and this year we came out full force. Our company has added 16 staff shooters and plans on increasing that number to cover the map.
We are currently working on custom orders for bows being shipped to Argentina, Russia, and Whales as well as some going out in the U.S. We also have a bow traveling the globe so everyone can test it and play around with one of our bows. People who want to try it out can sign up on a waiting list.  We will also be giving away some cool stuff at the end of the week for those who join our facebook page and ask for free stuff!
